Fulfilling the commitment in the Leaders’ Pledge to “review our progress and reaffirm commitments”, this paper takes stock of the progress made by endorsers a year after the Pledge was launched. It provides a non-exhaustive overview of how endorsers progressed on translating words into actions in relevant fora, and on the ground in the past year. Additionally, the paper provides clear strategic direction for the following year whilst highlighting clear areas of opportunity for delivering on the Leaders’ Pledge for nature and the overall goal of “reversing biodiversity loss by 2030 for sustainable development”.
